House Wedding reception - 23 July 2005

After the aqad nikah, we held the house reception for family, friends and neighbours on the Saturday afternoon itself. It was a glorious day - no rain, not too hot, just nice and cool.
I think over 1,500 people came that afternoon. I lost track of my atendees after 30 minutes.
True to Johorean tradition, we had the toll system, which turned out to be brilliant! Hafez, my bro in law, played the part so well. He is really cute! Then teh ambor-ambor was a riot. I thought mayhem was about to ensue in the house. Instead of a wedding cake, we cut this huge, gorgeous pulut kuning with rendang.
My MC was Uncle Chuari Selamat, who I've known since I was a little toddler. Most memorable part? Having the makan damai outdoors and just waving at people passing by! Hubby so enjoyed the food. He and Hafez were gorging non-stop.

Nikah - 23 July 2005

It was a wonderful ceremony - Mohd Nizaruddin Azlan Mohd Ramli was legally wed to Izreen Iara Ismail in one very smooth executed lafaz aqad. Everybody was shocked and surprised, let alone yours truly, who almost teared her makeup off as barely a week ago, she was crying buckets in the hospital over her (then) fiance's condition.
I must say - my hantarans from the boys' side wasn't too bad after all. I had a horrific vision of punk pink dulangs the moment hubby told me the hantarans were going to be pick. Thanks to helos, Oren, Arena and Khalil, I've got a beautiful pick of pictures. I loved my hair and makeup - contact me if you want to know who my make-up artist is. BTW, she is NOT a mak andam, thankyouverymuch.

Made a date with Arena and Other Half to go for my first fitting. Nice...
Later hopped over to Lotus Jln Binjai to meet up with P'nut together with Zetty and Albiethere. By the by, Albiethere is still single... nice bloke he.
Poor Other Half, he had to endure my socialising again.. hee hee!

One of my MRSM mates, Norizan Mazlan, finally got hitched to her fiance (who I know all this while as Dr. Chubby!). They flew in from London to have their reception at the Subang Sheraton. Very nice do it was!
Congrats Ijan and Chubby. Am a bit disappointed that you can't make it to my do, but here's wishing you all the best and God bless!

a Late Supper

After me and Arena did our wedding prep related chores, I took her out to join the Family for supper at Rasyid's Ampang.
Their naan bread and capati are gorgeous I tell you. Sad that they don;t do thosai ravaa. I have to go to Lotus for that.

Izreen Fara Ismail finally managed to take a day of leave! Supposedly to go and finalise her marriage application, but it fell through due to unforeseen circumstances.
So what did she do instead?
Go shopping! And of course, socialising!

This was a party held in honour of Mum and Boy's birthday, as well as in conjunction with Fathers' Day. Attended by some family members and very close friends of the birthday celebrant and yours truly....
As li'il toy was in action again, it was utilised to its fullest that night!

my li'il toy, my precious baby was indisposed for the pas few days. as this madam frequents weddings no end, she felt the lack of her baby rather keenly.
